Salco Co. Ltd was founded with a clear purpose: to transform Sudan's world-class groundnut harvest into premium products — and to do it in a way that creates lasting value for the country and its people.
HOW WE STARTED
Sudan's Gedaref State sits at the heart of one of Africa's most productive groundnut belts. For generations, the region's farmers have grown peanuts of exceptional quality — yet much of the value was lost to raw export, with minimal processing happening on Sudanese soil.
Salco was established to change that. By investing in modern processing infrastructure in Gedaref, we created the capability to take the peanut from farm gate to finished product — peanut butter, oil, roasted kernels, and animal feed — all within Sudan.
Today, Salco operates as a fully vertically integrated processor: we source directly from local farmers, clean and shell the crop at our facility, and produce a range of products for domestic and international markets.
